About Me

another slime
These are the diaries and opinions of a drifting socialist dilettente. After many a person has quite sensibly asked me what this blog is about, I have finally settled for muttering something about 'culture and politics'- a nice little anything of any quality goes tag line, beloved of the sort of magazine or journal that can't produce itself for less than 50 billion pounds an issue. Though it's beginning to look like 'Feminism and other hippy bullshit' might be a nice encapsulative for what this blog has evolved into. The backpacking blog is largely the same thing, only in Australia, with more dreaded First Person Narrative and more effortless whimsical miscillany (a kind of 'say what you see' journalism) But still chock full of that same nutritious hippy bullshit that kids love. My many natural resources include an eager but fractured attention span, self deprication that goes beyond charming or down to earth and moves into the territory known as 'alarming', and a strident self righteousness and intellectual vanity that ignores all of that and proceeds as best it can.
